Mikhail Manev, developer of Snorly
I build Snorly, the snore recorder app for iPhone, and I write everything on this site. I am a software developer, not a doctor. What I know about snoring comes from building a detector that has to tell a snore from a cough at 3 a.m., from reading the studies on phone-based snore detection, and from many nights of my own recordings.
How I write these articles
Each article starts with the question people actually type into Google, then answers it in the first paragraph. Numbers carry a source; when I could not find a reliable one, I say so instead of guessing. Where Snorly is the honest answer to a question I say so once, and where a free tool like Voice Memos does the job I say that too.
What I will not claim
Snorly does not diagnose sleep apnea or any other condition, and no article here will tell you it does. If a recording shows breathing pauses or gasps, the right next step is a doctor and a sleep study, and the articles say exactly that.
Corrections
If you find a mistake, an outdated price or a broken link, write to hello@builtfor.app. Corrections are made within the week and the article's "updated" date changes only when the content did.
